Vasco Gato

Vasco Gato was born in Lisbon in 1978. In 2000, he published the first of thirteen poetry books, entitled Um Mover de Mão. In 2016, Imprensa Nacional-Casa da Moeda launched a collection of his poetic work with the title Contra Mim Falo. He also published Daqui Nobody Entra, a theatrical text that premiered in 2016 at Teatro da Comuna. His first novel, Adeus, was published in 2020. He has been working as a literary translator since 2006, collaborating with the main Portuguese publishers, and he was responsible for selecting and translating foreign authors (not previously published in Portugal) for the RTP2 program "Nada Se Como Dante."
